Why did you join the society?

I always knew coming to uni that I wanted to try something new so destract from my studies. Having watched strictly forever, I decided ballroom and latin seemed like lots of fun, so I went straight to the stand at the freshers fair and signed up! I couldn't have chosen a more welcoming and friendly society.

Why did you join the committee?

I got to know the committee through lessons and competing, and I saw how rewarding it was for them to give back to the society, so I decided I wanted to try it. I started with Secretary last year. After that I felt like I had ideas and the drive to help run and improve the society, so I went for it.

What is your goal for the next year?

I want to be able to further our welcoming and inclusive vibe. I want everyone to feel listened to, and a wealth of opportunities provided for our members. I would also really like to learn how to do jive kicks.

"As co-president, I want to foster an environment of communication, cooperation, and teamwork, where everyone can have their say. The president from 19/20 has done a fantastic job bolstering our beginner involvement in competitions and the wider society, and I would like to continue her good work next year."
